YC demo against rly ticket brokers

Chronicle News Service

Indore, Jan 10: The youth Congress workers on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of the rail station and protested against monopoly of private reservation agents at the reservation office. The YC workers also expressed their displeasure over lack of facilities at the railway station for the commuters.

Staging demonstration outside platform No. 1 of the railway station, the youth Congress workers alleged that reservation agents with the help of goons purchase railway tickets from the reservation office and sale the same in black. The party workers also accused the railway employees of being hand in glove with the private reservation agents in the black-marketing of railway tickets. They said that the railway reservation force has proved to be incapable to curb black-marketing of railway tickets.

The demonstration was led by city Congress president Devendra Singh Yadav and general secretary Babu Purohit. The party workers while expressing their resentment over uncleanliness and lack of potable water at the railway station, also demanded running of a train between Indore and Udaipur. A large number of youth Congress workers took part in the demonstration.
