HEMA HS School celebrates annual day

Bhopal, Jan 10: HEMA Higher Secondary School celebrated its Annual Day on Tuesday at BHEL Cultural Hall, Piplani. The General Manager (EM) of BHEL, Bhopal Ramesh Krishnan was the chief guest of the programme. Function named as Utsav-2008 was centred about the theme of "Festivals of India". Children celebrated various festivals of different regions and religions.

On one side, where they celebrated Basant Panchami, Holi, Diwali, Durga Pooja and Onam on other side they also celebrated Eid, Baishaki, Christmas with the same fervour. Children of Pre-Primary celebrated National Festival as Republic Day. A large gathering of parents and other dignitaries witnessed the programme and appreciated the hard work put by student and staff in bringing the festivals live on the stage.

An Ex-Student of HEMA Higher Secondary School Amish Pothen, who has been decorated with Vikram Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He was also felicitated on this occasion.

The meritorious students of academic session 2006-2007 were felicitated with cash award and memento for the excellent performance. Ms Satyabhama Mishra, Principal of the School welcomed the chief guest and the dignitaries. Chief guest in his address appreciated the efforts put by HEMA Education Society in social welfare activities and making HEMA as on the of top School of the city, which is affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.

Bhopal, Jan 10: In the All India Class Mate Young Author Contest, Nishant Agrawal, student of standard X and Rupesh Jhabak Class XI of Bal Bhawan School have qualified the All India Classmate Young Author Contest. They will interact with Ruskin Bond in Mumbai on January 18 and they are among the 16 students short-listed from all over the country. If they would be selected in final round they will go to Paris. The contest is sponsored by ITC.

In the Science Olympiad, Prateek Deo and Ajeet Pillai, students of standard XII of Bal Bhawan School have cleared the first round of Indian National Biology Olympiad held by Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai.
