On the appeal of Central Employees Federation, New Delhi, a nation wide public awareness agitation would be staged on Friday in all the major cities of Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion rally would also be taken out and memorandum in the name of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be submitted to Governor Dr Balram Jakhar, Member of Parliament and District Collector.
The main programme would be organised in the state capital on Friday. Central Government Employees would stage agitation in support of their various demands in front of Central Post Office, CTO Building, TT Nagar at 11 am. Large number of Central Government Employees, pensioners as Income Tax Department, India Postal Department, AG Audit, National Sample Survey, Central Ground Water Council, Geographical Survey of India, Khadi and Village Industry Commission, Meteorological Department, Malaria and other organisations will be taking part in the agitation.
The employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited would support the agitation and general meeting. Member of Rajya Sabha Vrinda Karat will be present and address the gathering. After meeting, a torch light rally would be taken out from there. A delegation led by Madhya Pradesh would call on Governor Dr Balram Jakhar and submit memorandum. On the occasion, Yashwant Purohit, SC Jain, MU Khan, RS Baghel, JC Joshi, Jagrup Yadav, TKR Pillai, PV Ramchandran, GS Osiwal, NM Taklekhede, Madhusudan, SK Purohit, JK Sharma, DK Haldar, Madhukar Danbhale, SK Sen, SK Malviya, Masud Hasan, RK Patel, Bhaskar Verma, Vijay Sharma, Satish, SK Saxena, and others will be present.
Management course for defence officers

The management course for defence officials, though discontinued at several management schools due to ''ill behaviour'' of the officials, is still being conducted at Indian Institute of Management- Indore. The fourth batch of certificate course in Business Management for Defence officers started at IIM-I the other day.
IIM-I Director Prof SP Parasher, in his inaugural address, said ''the Armed forces are one of our most valuable work forces that contribute their highest level of services to the nation. The course would prepare the defence officers for the ever-changing and dynamic corporate world''.
''The course is designed in such a way that it will induce a challenging learning experience that focuses on real-world problems and solutions, providing new knowledge and tools to face challenges in corporate arena'', he said.
Ranjan Seth, Principal Director (Employment) of Rehabilitation Directorate of Defence Ministry, exhorted the participants to abide by the values and qualities embedded during the rigorous training of the defence forces and battlefields.
Seth emphasised that the participants should work as a cohesive team, follow rules and ethics of the institute to excel in the course and later in the corporate world. He urged all participants to work as brand ambassadors of the armed forces. Prof VK Gupta, Programme Director, said the certificate course in business management for Defence officers at IIM Indore is a six-month intensive immersion course in management. It trains officers from the Indian defence forces in management concepts, frame works processes, practices, tools and techniques. It offers companies in India a rich talent pool of experienced senior and middle level managers.
