Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his two-day tour of Betul district laid the stone of 56 constructions works at cost of Rs 11 crore 42 at Multai on Friday. On this occasion, he also declared Multai as a Holy City. Shri Chouhan said that there would be no fund crunch for development works.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, while declaring Multai as Holy City also issued instructions for chalking out plans for developing origin point of the river Tapti. He also announced grant to the tune of Rs 82 lakh for construction of Tapti Sarovar Ghat and Parikarima Path.
Similarly, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced Rs 30 lakh for Multai-Masod bypass road and Rs 50 lakh for Nagar Panchayat Fire Brigade. He also announced to give Nagarpalika Parishat status to Nagar Panchayat Multai. He said on the occasion that the sports ground would be converted into a mini stadium.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Barkhed, Jaunkhed and Monera high schools would be upgraded as Higher Secondary Schools, and Dahua, Jabada and Barngwadi Middle Schools would be improved as High Schools. He said that prompt action would be taken as soon as the proposal of upgrading any other middle school as High School is received by the state government.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced action to be taken on the report submitted by an expert team for repair works of Chandora dam. He said that the names which have been left, would be included in the BPL list. Shri Chouhan gave information to people about various welfare schemes of the state government.
Shri Chouhan announced Rs 20 lakh for development works of Kamath village Panchayat. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Rs 255.85 lakh Mongia Nala reservoir.
Those present on the occasion included Revenue Minister Shri Kamal Patel, Civic Administration Minister Shri Narottam Mishra, MLA Shri Sunilam, Shri Sajjan Singh Uike, Shri Mahendra Singh Chouhan and president of the District Panchayat Shri Ashok Kadve.
