Personal Thought: Buyers, sellers meet for heritage sites

The initiative of Madhya pradesh state tourism development corporation (MPSTDC) for the surveillance of our heritage buildings was really appreciable. It was the first time that government organized such type of heritage meet. The response was unexpected, buyers from across the India most of them belongs to the top business houses of hotel and resorts business and the property owners many of them belongs to different royal families of Madhya Pradesh attended that meet.

Madhya Pradesh has several heritage properties that have potential to be converted in to heritage hotels like Rajisthan and some other states. Cities like Jaipur, Udaipur etc are rated as the most beautiful cities because they are littered with buildings of historical importance many of these buildings are converted in to stars hotel.

Today the fact is that the present owner of such properties are not very much concern about the maintenance of these properties, in Bhopal also many heritage properties are encroached by some people who never think about the maintenance, as result these buildings are in deplorable condition, government can ask them to evict otherwise if they topple down many lives could be lost.

Many buyers shown there interest in many properties but the whole things would take some more planning and meetings with the owner of such properties.

All of the buyers and sellers presented at the meet was very satisfied with the event and said thanks to MPSTDC.

As most of these properties are privates government are not concern about there conditions but this time MPSTDC took some effective action and went through an extensive survey which was conducted to identify the right properties which can be the prospective sites for heritage hotels. It will help to restore the glory of these buildings. These buildings are not just old buildings; they are subject to learn our ancient architecture.
