Shekhawat concern over Pak development

Indore, Dec 31: Expressing concern over internal situation in Pakistan, former vice-president and senior BJP leader Bhairon Singh Shekhawat here said that growing incidents of terrorism in Pakistan will also have its bearing on India. Talking to newspersons at Indore airport on his way from Jabalpur to Delhi, Shekhawat said that Pakistan which earlier extended patronage to fundamentalist power, has now itself become a victim of these forces.

Talking about victory of the BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, former vice-president attributed victory of the party in Gujarat to hard works of Modi and the principles of the Bharatiya Janata Party, while victory in Himachal Pradesh has enthused party workers there.

Replying to a question about senior BJP leader L K Advani being declared as prime ministerial candidate of the BJP, Shekhawat said for him both Atal Behari Vajpayee and L k Advani as prime leaders of the party. When Atalji was not the Prime Minister, for us he was a Prime Minister, he said adding that similarly Advani is the prime leader of his party.

When he was reminded of the boycott of the BJP by Gurjar panchayat, he said the talk of senior Gurjar leaders with the BJP was continuing and he hoped that a positive result will come out of this talk and grievances of the Gurjars will be sorted out.

Shekhawat later participated in Kotichandi Mahayagna and made a round of the `yagnyashala' venue.
