MP Academy team made runners up

Bhopal, Dec 11: Madhya Pradesh State (Men) Hockey Academy was established by Sports and Youth Welfare Authority, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the team of academy took part in All India Bundelkhand Hockey Championship, which was organised from November 29 to December 9, 2007 at Mahoba (Uttar Pradesh). The team secured sub winner position in the championship. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Department Tukojirao Pawar, Principal Secretary of Sports Prashant Mehta, Director Sanjay Chaudhari, Joint Director Dr Vinod Pradhan and chief coach of the team Ashok Dhyanchand praised for the excellent performance of the team.

Bhopal, Dec 11: The 34th State Level Junior Volleyball Championship was organised at Katni from December 7 to 9. Total 28 teams of boys and girls took part in the championship. Boys were divided into four groups and Bhopal team put up excellent performance. Bhopal team defeated Jabalpur team by 25-18 and 25-20 and entered in final. The final match was played between RCC, Bhopal and Satna. Bhopal Team defeated Satna Team by 19-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 15-12 and won the championship. Master Vipin Suste, Sandeep Thapa have been awarded the Best Player of the Championship for their excellent performance.

Bhopal Zone wins

The 19th Inter Regional Sports Championship is being organised under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Irrigation (Water Resource) Department Regional Sports Club, Bhopal. Bhopal Region secured position in Badminton, Carrom, long tennis, Shootingball, Cricket etc on Tuesday.

In the morning session, Jabalpur team defeated Gwalior team by 31-20 and Hoshangabad team defeated Indore team by 41-21 in Kabaddi. Bhopal team defeated Hoshangabad team by 15-3, 15-5 in shootingball and Bhopal team defeated Gwalior team in long tennis and entered in next round. In Cricket match, Indore team defeated Hoshangabad team by 9 wickets.
