Bhopal, Dec 11: Even as work is apace on giving a facelift to the defence services, State capital's, C S Institute Of Defence & Management is doing commendable job by providing guidance and training to the young men and women aspiring to become officers in Armed Forces. The institute with excellence provides a ground for the aspirants to arise, discover and become worthwhile individuals. Besides it, Institute also conducts special need-based human resource training programs for managers and executives in the corporate sector particularly related to value-based management.

Established in the year July 1999, the institute is a brainchild of Major General M P S Kandal. Kandal floated the institute after taking premature retirement in June 1999.

To build character to achieve minimum level of moral and ethical literacy & build fundamental traits of characters & such as honesty, compassion was my primary goal when I thought to float the institute. Thus, courage, compassion persistence and responsibility to be a better human being is what I deliver to the pupil of my student", he added.

And it is because of Kandal's effort that those who are connected with the institute still keep in touch with him and other faculty members.

"To every letter or e-mail I reply them promptly and bless them to be a good individual and a responsible citizen of the nation, he added with a smile.

Since its inception in 1999, hundreds of students across South to East or from West to North have joined it.

The institute is on par with other institutes where students want to pursue post-graduate studies.

Because of its services, the institute has emerged as a centre of excellence in the Central India. The Institute has been recognised by Government of Madhya Pradesh and Directorate of Sainik Welfare.
