Congress general secretary Narayan Sami who is also in charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress here on Tuesday said that the Congress party will make dumper issue as its main electoral plank in the next assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Talking to mediapersons, he alleged that Chief Minister was given dumper in lieu of eight mines and a big land of Rewa.
How the property of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife witnessed an increase of Rs 40 lakh within a month of declaration of their property in April 2004 and he purchased a dumper, is a matter of serious investigation, Sami said alleging that the dumper in question was allotted to Shivraj Singh in lieu of giving eight mines and a big piece of land in Rewa to a company JP Associates.
Sami said that the Congress party will fight both Khargone Lok Sabha and Sanwer assembly by-elections on dumper scam. For the monitoring of bypolls, a monitoring committee has been constituted under the leadership of senior Congress leader Arjun Singh, he said.
Replying to a question, he said income tax department has all the information of the dumpers attached by the Congress leaders. Sami said the Congress party will organize a mammoth `chakka jam' all-over the state on December 8 on the issue of dumper scam.
On the issue of formation of executive bodies of the Congress at the district and the state-level, the Congress leader said the executive bodies of the party will be constituted after December 8.
