Rs 9.82 cr recovered from power pilferers

Bhopal, Dec 1: In order to stop pilferage of electricity, the Madhya Pradesh Central Regional Electricity Distribution Company has taken strong preventive steps. In the first seven months of the current financial year the company inspected 1,11,061 areas and found 33,624 illegal electric connections. In these cases the company calculated billing units worth Rs 26 crore and Rs 9.82 crore were recovered out of it.

Consequently the Central Division of the company had taken strong measures on the fieldwork to stop illegal and unauthorised electric consumption.

Attach 3 Phase LT capacitor to pump

Madhya Pradesh Central Region Electricity Distribution Company appealed to all farmers under its jurisdiction to use three-phase LT Capacitor to the electric pump. CMD of the company Sanjay Shukla said this device is necessary to control and prevent damage and destruction of electric pump due to sudden extreme rise and fall of electric voltage. Company advised consumers to attach 1 KVAR power three-fuse LT capacitor to more than three-horse power to five-horse power electric pump. Madhya Pradesh Central Electricity Distribution Company urged to farmers those who have not attached capacitor to attach as early as possible.
