Bhopal, Nov 20: A sub junior, junior and senior Central India Karate Championship was recently organised at Badminton Hall, Railway Institute, Bhopal.

The tournament was organised by Youth Sports Karate-Do Association and Youth Welfare and Sports Department.

During the two-day championship, ten national and international level players, social worker, freedom fighter were felicitated by the organisers.

On this occasion, Ms Vandana Saxena, divisional sports officer and secretary Railway Institute Rajesh Pandey, Chetan Singh, Youth Sports Karate-Do Association's president Jaichandra Kannaujiya and Iqbal Ahmed were present.

The awards were given to - Vandana Saxena, Faeem Khan, Shadab Khalid, Rahul Pasi, Maulana Azad School, Railway Institute, Railway Bhopal, Utkrasht Tiwari, Mohsin Ali Khan, Mohammed Faeed, Nitya Sewa Society.

Taekwondo championship

Bhopal, Nov 20: The State Invitation Taekwondo Championship (junior and sub junior level for both boys and girls) was held at TT Nagar Stadium recently.

The tournament was organised by MP Taekwondo Association with support of Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare Department. In the championship 21 teams from different districts of the State took part.

About 200 players partcipated in the championship which begun November on 17.
