Save Earth, Save Life

Bhopal, Nov 20: Earth has pyramid type balanced and unique ecological structure. Every substance has its unique function and goes through the recycling process of birth, development and decay. But we, as Human capitalise on the natural resources to meet our endless needs. I don't have second thought on development and developmental issues but not at the cost of ecological system", said Atul Ekka, who painted a beautiful picture of Earth and its natural resources in his painting, in the State level Painting competition on Tuesday, on Lal Parade Ground.

This competition was organised by the Indian National Science Association and EXPCO. In this competition 300 students from various schools participated and exhibited their ideas through the painting to save mother earth. This Programme is organised with the association of Madhya Pradesh Science and Technical Council Board and Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. Theme of the Painting competition was natural resources.

Conservation of resources

Mrigi Agrawal has shown recycle of waste material in her picture. She said, "It is my honest opinion that we should save conventional natural resources and have to use non-conventional natural resources like wind energy and solar energy to meet the need of increasing population and development projects".

Solar projects in deserts

National and International organisations are funding for the establishment non-conventional energy projects so capitalist and industrialist are operating solar projects on the green hills. I agree that we imperatively needed solar energy but not at the cost of deforestation. Actually such projects should be installed in desert and barren land. I depicted same theme in my picture", said Anirudh Ganguly, X standard student.

Ban on plastic

St Joseph Co-Ed School student Adesh Rathore appealed to public through his painting not to use plastic bags. Besides the plastic pollution he highlighted on the use of Bio-fuel and CNG buses. Adesh emphasised in his painting to use cycle and solar cooker.

Uses of trees

Sapana Mulchandani painted in her painting furniture and medicine items made of wood and leaves respectively. The aim of her painting is to suggest turning towards the nature.

Right soil for right purpose

Sonali Mitra said "we have ample of land but problem is that we are unable manage of it. We have to use right kind of soil for right purpose". She also depicted hydro electricity plant and solar energy plants in her painting.

Be optimistic

Kavita Mandal painted beautiful picture of hills, river, trees, the Sun and its uses. She said that we have to adopt positive attitude towards nature and have to be environment friendly.

Quiz competition

Quiz competition was organised under the State Level School Competitions on science general knowledge. Number of Teams from the corner of the state came to participate in this competition. Co-ordinator of quiz competition Priti Sharma said 'total number of 24 team participated in this competition'. Result of the painting competition will be declared on November 22.
