Hindi: The language of heart

Bhopal, Sept 14: Debate, poetry, essay, story writing, painting and several other functions were held in various schools of the City to mark the Hindi Diwas, followed by Hindi week which began on Thursday.

Carmel Convent School, BHEL

Several functions will be organised during the ongoing Hindi week celebration in the School.

On Thursday, debate, story, poetry, essay, painting competition based on the write-ups of renowned Hindi writers and poet was organised. The celebration began with Prarthana sabha being organised by the students of Class XI 'B'. Later students who bagged first, second and third position from various events were awarded. Speaking on the occasion, school principal Sister Noel highlighted importance of Hindi language.

St Montfort School

Hindi Diwas was celebrated at St Montfort School (Junior) on Thursday. To mark the occasion a prayer song and a group dance was performed. The most attractive part of the function was short play, where characters expressed their respect and love for the unity and integrity of our nation and the importance of Hindi as our national language.

A Hindi speech competition was also organised for students of Std. I to V on different topics. Speaking on the occasion, headmistress, Sr Archana stressed on the importance of the Day.

St Paul School, Anandnagar celebrated Hindi Diwas. The function was inaugurated by renown Hindi poet and writer Dhruv Shukl. The function began with lighting of traditional lamp. Later, Amreen Khan recited her poem 'Tare Bahut Kuch Khatey Hai', followed by Yogendra Chouksey's speech on the importance of Hindi language in the day to day life and bhajan recital by Harish Gwale. Speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Shukl emphasiesd on the irony of celebrating Hindi Diwas.

On the occasion, school principal Fr Thomas gifted a token of remembrance to the chief guest. Nidhi Malviya, a student of the school delivered an impressive speech on the occasion. Later awards were presented to the winners of various competitions. The function concluded with a vote of thanks put up by school president Sakar Saksena.

Several cultural function and competitions were held on Wednesday at the school auditorium. The occasion was treat to the students after an elaborate study season from the School. In the function, songs to advertisements, plays to fancy dress competitions several students from all age groups participated in the function.

Chitransh ADPG College

To mark the occasion of Hindi Diwas, newly elected student union members were administered oath on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, senior thinker Kishan Pant felt members of the union will come to the expectation of the college and people in the coming days.

On the occasion, debate, essay, singing and dance competition were also organised. State Olympic Association president Mahesh Joshi, College principal Sudha Saxena, Vice-principal Tanima Dutta, Ashwini Shrivastav also addressed the gathering. Ashutosh Swarnkar, Ankush Maurya, Jitendra Nagar, Shradha Maheshwari and Subrat Upadhyaya bagged prizes for winning several positions.

VNS Institute

A debate competition was organised to mark the Hindi Diwas at VNS Institute of Technology. The event was organised for the students of BE 1st and 2nd year students of the Institute. VNSIT principal Dr SK Shrivastav and Shahshikant Pandey, Anil Khandelwal awarded prizes to the winners of competition.

Kendriya Vidyalaya- I, Maida Mill

A Hindi fortnight celebration at Kendriya Vidyalaya- I began on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on Thursday. The function began by lighting of the traditional lamp by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Bhopal Division's joint commissioner V K Shrivastav. To mark the occasion an installation ceremony of new school representatives was held.

Delivering his speech, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Bhopal Division's joint commissioner VK Shrivastav said students should follow discipline, obey teachers and should work with all dedication to rise in the future.

Earlier, school principal Sunil Shrivastav welcomed the guest. Ms K Dara, vice principal Dr G P Tiwari were also present on the occasion.
