Chronicle Crime Reporter, Bhopal, The case of the suspicious death of an 11-year-old boy in Sos Balagram has been reported in Bilkhariya police station area.
After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and after recovering dead body, it was sent to Hamidia Hospital for post-mortem. The incident took place on Monday night at 7:30 pm. The two-member police team is investigating the case. Police arrived at Balagram on Tuesday afternoon and recorded statements from the staff and management.
The investigating officer of the Bilkhariya police station, Havaldar Sudeep Rajput, told that 11-year-old Rohit Kumar lived in SOS Balagram located at peera Mohalla.
He was a victim of multiple disabilities since childhood. He used to spend most of his time on bed. On Monday, his health deteriorated then SOS Balagram management took him to Anant Shree Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Hospital management gave this information to Bilkhiria police. Police reached the hospital and after documentation they sent the dead body to Hamidiya Hospital’s Mortuary.
PM was done in presence of police and SOS management
On Tuesday morning, the post-mortem of Rohit’s body was started in Hamidia Hospital after 12.30 pm. At that time the team of SOS Balagram and Bilkhariya police was present. There was a delay in the PM due to various formalities of permissions and information to the administration. After the post mortem the body was handed over to SOS management.
Family members abandoned him
Deepak Saxena, manager of SOS Balagram, told that the child was found in 2008. The people of his family had abandoned him. From his childhood he was ill. He was treated under the supervision of Balagram doctors. He was also treated with specialist doctors of AIIMs and in Renovo Hospital of New Market. But, his condition did not improve.On Monday, his health had suddenly deteriorated, after which he was admitted to a private hospital.
