Patna, At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured in separate mishaps in Munger, Khagaria, Kaimur and Buxar districts during the last 12 hours.
According to police, five youths were killed in collision between two motorcycles on State Highway 22 near Chandpura village under Sangrampur police station area in the district last night.
Police said here today that five youths were seriously injured when their motorcycles hit each other near Chandpur village. Sources said, four youths died at a primary health hospital during treatment, another youth breathed his last when he was being rushed to a hospital in Bhagalpur.
Police said, the deceased were identified as Nilesh Kumar (19), Amit Kumar (19), Rohit Kumar (18), Vishal Kumar (18) and Ankit Kumar (18). The bodies have been sent to Munger Sadar Hospital for autopsy, sources added.
According to a report from Khagaria, three people were killed and 20 others injured in a collision between an auto rickshaw and a jeep on National Highway 31 near Durgapur village under Mufassil police station area in the district today.
Police said, two people were killed on the spot, another one died at Khagaria Sadar Hospital during treatment. The deceased were identified as Kaushalya Devi (60), Sunaina Devi (55) and Madan Kumar (35).
The bodies have been sent for autopsy, police added.
